About this supply
<p>Birch plywood is widely used by artists for woodcuts and printing with oil-based or water-based inks. Grown in cold climates, the timber is dense and fine-grained.</p><p>Handprinted Birch Plywood is 6.5 mm thick, with birch throughout all five layers. You may prefer to lightly sand the surface before use. The wood can also be brushed with a wire brush to emphasize the grain, allowing it to show through and become part of the printed image.</p><p>Please note that these are sold as single-sided blocks. The reverse side may contain a plug, which could appear in your print if you choose to use that side.</p>
