Clairefontaine Aquapad is a natural white, medium-fine grain paper designed for students and artists seeking strong performance at an excellent value. Made from 100% cellulose, it offers outstanding wet strength, color clarity, and control for watercolor, gouache, and mixed media.

Double-sided heavyweight sheets feature a medium-grain cold press surface on one side and a smoother reverse for added versatility. Internal and surface vegan sizing improves strength, providing controlled absorption to support layering, lifting, reworking, and wet-on-wet techniques.

Crafted at the historic Schut paper mills in the Netherlands, Aquapad reflects more than 400 years of papermaking expertise. It is acid-free and pH neutral for long-term stability.
