Derwent : Chromaqua : Watercolour Pencils

Derwent Chromaqua Watercolor Pencils are highly pigmented, watersoluble pencils designed to produce rich, vibrant color in both dry and wet applications. Building on the color intensity of Derwent Chromaflow, they offer a smooth, effortless color laydown that is ideal for drawing, layering, blending, and shading. Colors can be applied directly from the pencil for bold, precise marks, or softened and transformed with water for a range of watercolor effects.

The highly soluble binder allows dry pencil marks to dissolve readily when activated with a wet brush, transforming drawn color into smooth, fluid washes with minimal visible pencil lines. Artists can move between precise dry marks and watercolor effects within the same artwork, making Chromaqua suitable for detailed drawing, washes, layering, and mixed media techniques.
