About this product range

When mixed with soda ash, Jacquard Procion MX Fiber Reactive dyes are permanent, colorfast, and very washable. You can easily create a palette of brilliant colors ranging from light pastels to deep, vibrant hues. As a fiber-reactive dye, Procion MX forms a strong covalent bond with cellulosic fibers, making it the most permanent and washfast of all dyestuffs.

This cold water dye is perfect for natural plant fibers — cotton, linen, paper, reeds, and wood. Do not use it to dye synthetics, and be sure to use it away from stovetops.

Use Procion for tie-dye, batik, shibori, ice dyeing, printing, direct painting, and other dye techniques. Typically, 1 oz can dye more than 5 yards of fabric or about nine T-shirts.

Click on the Resources tab for more information and detailed instruction sheets.

Each jar contains 2/3 oz (19 g). Jars filled by weight. Fill levels may vary with the density of the powder.

Use in combination with the following ingredients:

Jacquard Soda Ash (needed to activate and set dyes) Jacquard Synthrapol (a more effective washing agent than regular soap) Jacquard Urea (slows drying process and mixes with Sodium Alignate SH to create a thickener)
