Schmincke : Horadam Watercolor Paint : Juicy Orange : Metal Set : 15 Half Pans & Da Vinci Brush

The Schmincke Horadam Watercolor Paint Juicy Orange Metal Set features 15 half pans and a Da Vinci synthetic brush. The metal tin has a distinctive, orange exterior and includes a fold-out color mixing area. Twelve of the colors form a strong foundation for pure and perfect mixing, and the set also includes three orange shades in Transparent Orange, Saturn Red, and Volcano Orange.

The Da Vinci Juicy Orange Synthetic Watercolor Brush included in this set is a handmade, traditionally bound round brush featuring white synthetic bristles with a lightweight short handle in an orange color. The extra-soft, wavy synthetic bristles have a high paint absorption capacity with a strong spring, ensuring the brush maintains its shape.

In order to achieve the highest standard, Schmincke uses the best raw materials available. There is no compromise in quality – the highest standards of artists' pigments allow the highest level of lightfastness.

Schmincke's watercolor binding medium is Kordofan gum arabic from the Sahara region. Due to it differing from year to year, it is tested, and the best of the batch is selected to use with their pigments. They use an optimal amount of ox gall to avoid undesired colored formations and undissolved pigment, allowing the perfect flow of color.
