Diane Townsend : Artists' Pastels : Terrages

Diane Townsend Artists’ Pastels Terrages are larger pastels made with crushed pumice stone, allowing artists to open up the surface of the paper and work in more color. The inclusion of pumice encourages the paper to accept additional layers, supporting richer color build-up.

The added pumice helps create complex layers and a luminous sense of depth and space within the work. Terrages pastels are made in a robust size and shape that can withstand more forceful application without crumbling. Each color is available in several shade variations, offering flexibility when developing tonal depth.
