About this supply
A new addition to the Schmincke watercolour range, YinTiCo Red is a brand new pigment made from the rare elements Yttrium, Indium, Titanium, and Cobalt. This combination has produced a blue-tinged red similar to Quinacridone Magenta but more delicate and less colour intensive. YinTiCo Red is highly granulating and semi-transparent.
In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolours contains only the finest raw materials.
The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually tests their ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved.
Another quality of Schmincke's Horadam watercolours is their re-solubility. You will find the same formulation in both their tubes and pans, which means that paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again.
