Sennelier Artist's Oil Stick Wooden Box 38ml Set of 12 features a balanced selection of 12 classic colors along with a palette knife, a box of charcoal sticks, and a branded cleaning cloth, all presented in a smart wooden storage box. Sennelier Oil Sticks are made of artist quality oil paint. A proportion of oil is substituted with a neutral mineral wax, resulting in a stick appearance. Oil sticks can be used in conjunction with oil paint or in their own right. They are ideal for bold, gestural mark-making. These oil sticks contain the highest quality pure pigments ground into vegetable oils selected for their low degree of yellowing over time. Oil sticks offer the same advantages as oil paint. The suppleness of use enables you to experiment with a variety of techniques. Contrary to oil paint, the drying process for the surface color film is rather quick; usually, it takes a day. Before using an oil stick for the very first time, peel off the thin dry skin in order to release the paint. This thin layer will form again after you have used it. Sennelier Oil Sticks are designed to be applied to conventional oil painting supports (oil-primed or universal) and demand quality background preparation. Suitable supports include canvas, canvas boards, painting panels, and paper. This wooden box set contains the following colors: Titanium White Primary Yellow Cadmium Yellow Deep French Vermilion Primary Red Ultramarine Primary Blue Permanent Green Burnt Umber Yellow Ochre Medium Mars Black
