About this supply

The Natural Earth Paint Gesso Kit contains everything needed to make a vegan, professional-grade gesso. Based on Renaissance recipes, it is made with earth and mineral ingredients and plant-based binders, and is suitable for archival applications.

Natural Earth Paint is a US-based company producing art materials for children and professional artists. Founded by artist and environmentalist Leah Fanning in 2010, the company develops vibrant, archival-quality paints and art materials, including mineral and earth pigments, natural face paints, and varnishes.

The Gesso Kit contains: 2 x 0.75oz Methyl Cellulose packets, 1 x 1.5lb bag of Gesso Mix, and an instruction pamphlet.

Makes 112fl oz of gesso, enough to prime approximately 10–15 medium-sized canvases.

Please note: Do not inhale the dust. Use in a well-ventilated area while wearing a dust mask. Do not use while eating, drinking, or smoking. Avoid contact with the eyes.
