About this supply
Watercolor Still Life with Mark Entwisle is a one-day watercolor workshop on Saturday, 10th October 2026, 10am–4pm, at Jackson’s Attic Studio at Griffin Mill. Located in Thrupp, near Stroud, in Gloucestershire, Griffin Mill is an atmospheric converted Victorian mill in the heart of the stunning Cotswolds. Some experience with watercolor is preferred.
We are delighted to welcome Mark Entwisle to teach at Jackson’s Art, Stroud. An active member of the Royal Watercolor Society, professional illustrator, and exhibiting artist, Mark brings a wealth of experience and insight to his teaching. After winning a prize at the BP Portrait Awards, he was invited to teach at the National Portrait Gallery and has been teaching ever since.
This workshop invites you to explore still life painting through careful observation. Working from individual plant pots and arrangements, Mark will encourage you to slow down and look closely, placing emphasis on authenticity rather than perfection.
The day will begin with a short demonstration, giving you the opportunity to observe Mark’s approach to composition and color mixing before applying these techniques in your own work. With expert guidance throughout, you will gain confidence in using watercolor and have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
