About this supply

Daniel Smith Mayan Orange is hot and intense. Use it straight from the tube for a blazing red-orange. As you add water, the color remains strong and disperses very evenly. Rich, bold colors adorned the murals and sculpture of the Mayan people. Even when exposed to centuries of severe heat and humidity, these colors have hardly faded over a thousand years. Mayan Orange is made using a new formula based on ancient Mayan chemistry, but reformulated using a modern, metal-free composition. This color is smooth, non-granulating and semi-transparent. The versatility, durability and exquisite hues make this a color you'll reach for again and again.

Daniel Smith Watercolor Sticks offer remarkably rich, vibrant colors and the same pure artists' pigments as their Extra Fine Watercolor Paint. They are very portable and long-lasting, making excellent on-the-go painting tools. Each stick is packed with pure pigment and produces vibrant, strong color when wet. They can also be used dry to build texture. The sticks can also be used like a traditional pan color. Try wetting your watercolor brush and lifting color directly from the surface of the stick.

The sticks offer exceptional value as one stick is equivalent to three whole pans of watercolor. They can be cut down and inserted into empty half pans to use as you would a traditional pan watercolor. All the sticks are the same price and include a selection of PrimaTek colors.

This is a Daniel Smith Watercolor Paint Stick in Mayan Orange.
