Derwent Chromaqua Watercolor Pencils are highly pigmented watersoluble pencils developed to produce rich, vibrant color in both dry and wet applications. Building on the color intensity associated with Derwent Chromaflow, they provide smooth color laydown for drawing, layering, blending, and shading, with strong color that can be used directly from the pencil before introducing water.

The highly soluble binder allows dry pencil marks to dissolve readily when activated with a wet brush, transforming drawn color into smooth, fluid washes with minimal visible pencil lines. Artists can move between precise dry marks and watercolor effects within the same artwork, making Chromaqua suitable for detailed drawing, washes, layering, and mixed media techniques.
