Matisse Structure Acrylics are professional heavy body paints designed for artists who want bold texture, luminous color, and lasting permanence. Thick and smooth straight from the tube, they’re specially formulated for impasto and textural techniques. Palette knife marks hold crisp ridges and peaks, while brushstrokes stay sharp and defined. Perfect for building dense layers, carving into wet paint, or creating striking relief effects. The 98-color range spans both modern and historic pigments. The Armenian Series—authentic mineral pigments, minimally processed and sourced from Armenia’s mountainous provinces—comes from the same deposits once used in medieval manuscripts, frescoes, and stone ornamentation, carrying forward a rich artistic tradition. Many colors are single pigment for cleaner mixing, while transparent and opaque options are carefully balanced to give artists precise control over layering, glazing, and coverage. Large 75 ml tubes hold 25% more paint than standard 60 ml sizes, and handy dual-function caps flip open or screw off. A uniquely versatile and culturally resonant choice for contemporary artists, every color in the range carries excellent lightfastness ratings.
