Hereford Printmaking Paper is designed for printmakers, created to fill a gap left by the closure of the Zerkall Paper Mill in 2022. Designed for woodblock, letterpress, and bookbinding, Hereford can also be used for other print techniques. Its part cotton/part alpha-cellulose content makes it very sensitive for fine intaglio printing. The smooth surface and medium weight give excellent results when hand burnishing relief prints. It has a lovely classic white color that enriches printmakers' black inks.
Hereford Paper is a machine-made paper which is part rag. Internally and externally sized with vegan gelatin and acid-free, each sheet has four cut edges. It is a classic white, has a very smooth and untextured surface, and no watermark.
