Schmincke : Horadam Watercolor Paint : 15ml : Ocean Grey

Schmincke Horadam Watercolor Paint Ocean Grey is a distinctive multi-pigment artist watercolor developed in collaboration with Spanish watercolorist Cesc Farré. Its moody blue-green-grey character is particularly suited to atmospheric subjects, offering a nuanced alternative to conventional greys for seascapes, stormy skies, coastal landscapes, shadows, and monochromatic studies.

The combination of pigments creates subtle color separation when applied with generous amounts of water, revealing cooler undertones alongside deeper grey particles for naturally varied washes and textural effects. Made to Schmincke Horadam standards with finely ground artists' pigments and high quality gum arabic, it offers excellent re-solubility and controlled transparency for glazing, wet-on-wet painting, layering, and expressive washes.
