New Wave u.go Anywhere Pochade Box is designed for plein air painting and has a number of unique features to enhance the painting experience when outdoors.

Each Pochade box is handcrafted from hand-sanded Baltic Birch and finished with New Wave's proprietary wood finish for durability. The finish is non-porous, dense, and resistant to water, as well as standard artist solvents and mediums. It is also crack-proof, chip-proof, and non-yellowing. New Wave use non-corrosive stainless steel and aluminum accents throughout. As the pochade box is made from wood, some variation in color and knots in the finish is normal and will not affect its performance.

Features:

Size/Weight: Measuring 6 x 8 x 1.25in, the smallest model is ultra lightweight at 1.35 lbs, with palette included.

Magnetic Components: Strong magnets are used for the closure, panel/canvas holder, removable side wall for palette cleaning/replacement, and attachment of a separately sold accessory side tray.

Friction Hinges: Sturdy 180-degree range of motion allows the pochade box to be positioned vertically or horizontally. The horizontal set-up is suitable for watercolor painting.

Tripod Mount: Anywhere Pochade Boxes are compatible with universal 1/4in tripod mounts.

Palette: Includes a high density plastic palette. Oil paints can be removed with solvents, while dry acrylic paint peels off with ease.

Product Storage: The smooth exterior is free from protruding wood or metal components, allowing the pochade box to be stored easily in a bag or pack.

Surfaces: The maximum recommended painting surface is 9in vertically. Teeth on the stainless steel panel holders can hold panels as thin as 1/16in and stretched canvas up to 3/4in thick. The pochade box is particularly suited to 1/8in panels for a lightweight plein air set-up.

Please note, due to the strong magnets used within this product, it is not suitable for use by people with pacemakers.
