Standard Clay Company 112 Brown Clay can be used for wheel throwing or modeling. Formulated with manganese, this Cone 4–6 plastic clay has a speckled surface that reacts well in oxidation or reduction firing. It’s recommended to fire at Cone 5 to achieve the best color. The clay has an average shrinkage of 10.5% and absorption of 4.5% at Cone 4. At Cone 6, it has an average shrinkage is 11% and absorption of 2.25%. Made in the USA.
