Liquid-like yet highly pigmented, Matisse Fluid Acrylics have a very smooth, runny yet slightly dense viscosity. The colors will appear dark, intense, and opaque on initial application but can be spread easily with a brush or mixed with water to reveal color graduations. The brilliant colors have ASTM ratings of I or II, indicating Very Good to Excellent lightfastness. The intensity of the colors makes them ideal for tinting. They are compatible with any acrylic paints within the Matisse range and can be blended or used alone in the same artwork. The range of 40 colors includes unique Australian colors.
