About this supply

Join artist-printmaker Lisa Takahashi for Quiet Printmaking Day on Saturday 21 November 2026, 10.30am–4.30pm at Jackson’s Art Dalston, London. Inspired by the quieter beauty of winter, this relaxed full-day workshop offers an opportunity to explore printmaking at a slower pace through monotype and card relief techniques.

The day will begin with a gentle introduction to monotype printmaking, exploring simple mark-making, layering, and the unexpected effects of working directly with ink. You’ll then move on to card relief printing, using cut-card shapes to create atmospheric winter-inspired images through shape, texture, colour, and layering.

The emphasis throughout the day is on experimentation and enjoying the process rather than producing a perfect finished image. You’re welcome to bring your own sources of inspiration, such as photographs, sketches, memories of a favourite winter walk, or simply an idea you’d like to explore.

Suitable for beginners and those with some printmaking experience, the workshop includes all materials and refreshments. You’ll leave with a collection of original prints and new ideas to develop in your own practice.
