SKU RATBCM
A tjanting (or canting) is a Javanese tool used in batik making to apply hot wax to fabric. It consists of a long handle, a small brass bowl, and a spout from which melted wax flows onto the fabric to create patterns. The size of the spout determines the thickness of the lines. These Abig Tjanting Batik Cups are traditional in design with a round brass bowl and spout and a polished wooden handle. They are designed to rest in the warm wax whilst not in use. These tools are ideal to use with the Abig Tixor Malam wax pot. The bowl diameters are approx. 25mm and 35mm with spouts of varying sizes.
