Take watercolor beyond paper with Winsor & Newton Watercolor Ground Multi-Surface Preparation. Designed to give primed canvas, wood, glass, metal, plastic, cardboard, and other surfaces the tooth and absorbency watercolor needs, this versatile ground supports strong color retention and even drying, helping washes and layered color behave more naturally on unconventional supports. Brush on two coats, allowing each to dry completely before painting. Choose Transparent when you want the underlying surface to remain visible, or White for an even, neutral base that helps watercolor color stand out.
