<p>Revere Platinum Paper by Legion has been specially developed for the platinum photographic printing process, where paper purity and performance are critical. Made from 100% cotton, it stands apart from most archival fine art papers by containing no buffering agents such as calcium carbonate and little to no iron content. These features are essential for achieving consistent chemical reactions during printing.</p><p>The platinum printing process is quite challenging and involves multiple steps to achieve a successful result. The paper is surface treated with a platinum solution, exposed to UV light to create the image, and then cleared in several acid-based baths to remove residual platinum from the surface.</p><p>This paper delivers excellent results, producing rich, even tonal ranges and deep, velvety blacks. It features two natural deckle edges, clears easily in solution baths, and dries flat without distortion. Revere Platinum is acid-free, chlorine-free, and has a neutral pH, making it not only ideal for alternative photographic processes but also well-suited to other techniques such as screenprinting, calligraphy, and drawing.</p>
